A turquoise paradise awaiting you after 187 steps — Kaputaş is one of Turkey's most photographed coves.
Hidden exactly halfway between Kaş and Kalkan on the coastal road, where a deep canyon meets the sea, Kaputaş Beach immediately explains why it draws so many photographers and travellers: few places in the world display turquoise this intense.
**How to Get There**
On the Antalya–Kaş highway, 7 km from Kaş and 8 km from Kalkan. Park at the roadside car park and descend 187 steps to the beach. The steps are steep but secured with handrails. Minibuses and tour vehicles also stop at the beach junction.
**The Beach**
Where the freshwater of Kaputaş Canyon meets the salt water of the Mediterranean, the water displays an extraordinary turquoise-green hue. The beach is a mix of fine sand and pebbles; on calm days it offers exceptionally clear and tranquil swimming. The sheer cliffs surrounding the beach create different shadow angles throughout the day, forming an ideal frame for photography.
